Quite pleased with the ride and time on the climbs in particular the Dukes Pass in to Loch Katrine. Since I have something to eat about 1 hour before training it is recommended I intake about 88g of carbohydrate which is based on using 1.1g per kg of weight. At first I did know the stem I ordered (100mm) was to large so I put on a 80mm stem a few weeks ago. Today I made sure the cleats on my shoes were over the middle of the pedal which they were not. This is the first time I have done these intervals from the book so I was a little confused as how to go about them at first. This is what is down in the book 60-90 min (EM) 3x9 OU (2U, 1O) (6 Min RBI). The route was Glasgow to Aberfoyle going up the top of the Dukes Pass and then back home. The pace from the group was brisk most of the time with me at LT (91% - 94%). Heading in to Aberfoyle at one point seen the HR at 101% going 33mph it did not last long though. The conditons were dry but a little windy. This is the first time I have got any valueable data from the Garmin since it is a new piece of equipment. But its still giving problems.For the 3x8 sessions the graph shows my cadence at avg 77rpm and hr 156bpm (85%)! I think that is a little inaccurate!
